KRAG MODEL 1898 RIFLE. Beautiful restored version with 23'' round barrel adjustable front and Lyman rear sight adjustable shoulder strap and oiled walnut stock. SN 136717. Rifling is worn somewhat dark without pitting. Over-all gun condition is excellent. Cartouche outline is visible though no longer legible. This is an antique.

Correct 1898 band; front sight with sight protector. Walnut stock with cartouche 1899/JSA. Condition: This is a very fine carbine retaining 95% of the barrel blue. Receiver has a mottled grey look. Stock is excellent with some very minor nicks and dings. Hand-guard and stock are evenly matched and appears to have been together since leaving the arsenal.

US SPRINGFIELD M 1899 KRAG-JORGENSEN CARBINEUS Springfield M 1899 Krag-Jorgensen Carbine, 30-40 Krag, 22" barrel length, SN 229141. The left side of the receiver is marked “U.S. Model 1899. Springfield Armory 229141”. The left side of the barrel band is marked “U” and the left side of the scaled pop-up rear sight base is marked “C”. There is a circled “P” proof mark on the stock behind the trigger guard and the left side of the stock is marked with a boxed having illegible markings above the trigger. Measures approximately 41-1/2" in total length. The Krag–Jørgensen is a repeating bolt action rifle designed by the Norwegians Ole Herman Johannes Krag and Erik Jørgensen in the late 19th century. It was adopted as a standard arm by Denmark, the United States of America and Norway. About 300 were delivered to Boer forces of the South African Republic. Famously served as the longarm during the Spanish–American War. NOTE: This item is subject to FFL rules, regulations, & procedures. Condition: Barrel retains 98% of the original blue finish. Some light scratches around the muzzle case by a sight protector putting on and taking it off. Receiver retains 99% of the original blue mottled finish. Stock and forearm are in almost mint condition with some very minute nicks. Excellent ''JSA/1901'' cartouche. This is for the collector that wants a great one.

Little Brave Arikara Scout KIA at Little Bighorn Rare CDV Extremely scarce CDV of Little Brave the Arikara Scout for the 7th Cavalry who was killed in action at Little Bighorn; anonymous publisher.Little Brave (c.1850-1876) also known as "Stub" and "Little Soldier " died alongside Reno while serving as a U.S. Scout for the fourth time.? He had served in the Black Hills Expedition of 1874 and had re-enlisted with Custer at Fort Lincoln in May of 1876.? One Sioux account of the battle by Wooden Leg relates that Little Brave was hiding in a sagebrush near the river taking potshots when a small group crept up behind him.? Before they could act Little Brave was felled by a bullet from the opposite direction but as they came upon him he jumped up and turned his rifle on them.? Wooden Leg hit him over the head with his rifle before Little Brave could fire and the rest of the group pounced on the Arikara scout and stabbed him to death.? Wooden Leg made off with the rifle while the others took his scalp and clothing. Condition: Very good condition.
