RARE LIVERPOOL JUG WITH WASHINGTON & MASONIC SYMBOLS Circa 1800 Large English Creamware Jug, transfer printed on three sides with Masonic motifs (two in color), one side titled "United for the benefit of Mankind" with printed Masonic imagery and "Memento Mori", the other with image of a woman and children under the radiant eye with printed verse "To judge with candor, and to speak no wrong. The feeble to support, against the strong. To sooth the wretched, and the poor to feed. Will cover many an idle foolish deed."; front with oval cartouche containing the image of a seated George Washington in his Masonic apron surrounded by a variety of symbols; 8 7/8" high, 9" x 6". Spout and rim restoration, toned surface, interior spider hairlines.
