Note: Lorrie H. Goulet studied under Josef Albers at the Black Mountain College in North Carolina during the war years of 1943 and 1944. In the summer of 1944, she met Jose de Creeft, a visiting sculptor and instructor, and in November 1944, Goulet and de Creeft were married.

LORRIE H. (DE CREEFT) GOULET (NY, 1925 - ) "Garden", carved serpentine stone, signed on left edge and dated 1976, depicting a reclining voluptuous woman lying against a roughly chiseled reticulated field, includes the original black stone block base having a paper label on the underside giving the title, the sculpture is not attached, rests on a single bronze pin, the sculpture itself is 8" x 14, the block base is 2" tall. The only damage is a repaired crack at the back of the mounting hole.
