ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT BRONZE LYRE
ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT BRONZE LYRE CLOCK, F. PELISSIERA Louis XIV style lyre clock, made in France and imported to the United States circa 1920s. Gilt bronze and brass case and decoration including swags, oak leaves and acorns, and a Sun King sunburst crest, further embellished with porcelain flowers. Key wound 13 jewel movement, marked "F. Pelissier / France / 26395." The case is stamped "France / Ovington / New York / Chicago." Hand-enameled face, marble plinth, and frosted glass case door.
Measures 18 1/2" x 9" x 6".
Condition
The clock is untested and presently has no winding key. Two total chipped porcelain flower petals. Mild wear.
