MODEL 1873 FRENCH MAS ARMY REVOLVER 11MM ETIENNEAntique double-action French revolver, often mistakenly referred to as a Lebel revolver. Solid, well-built piece, mechanically good and tight. Marked St. Etienne. Locks up nicely. Checkered wood grips in nice condition. Barrel is approx. 110mm which was produced in the 1874 Officer model. Undated, but possibly manufactured as late as WWI. A CRIMEAN WAR FRENCH OFFICER'S PISTOL the brass butt plate and trigger guard with a brass ring on the barrel, the barrel is proof stamped 17.6 AN T D MTX 1822 – M1856. The lock plate is stamped NEC Impal De Mutzig. The wooden handle has ‘446’ stamped into it.
