A GROUPING OF SIX GERMAN STEINS Early 20th century, including two Jugendstil stoneware steins, the tallest likely by Marzi & Remy in 1L capacity, decorated in medieval figural scene, titled Abzug der Frier (Departure of the Suitors), marked "1620" to body with impressed "O" to underside (11 in.); the second labeled "Kraft und Stoff" with beer maiden design (7 5/8 in.); the third a blue and white porcelain lithophane stein in Meissen style pattern, numbered "67" to underside (7 in.); the fourth a stoneware character stein of man with pipe, titled "Die Kehl Kost Veel" ("a dry throat is expensive"), impressed mark to underside (6 3/4 in.); the fourth in glass with pewter ring/thumblift, lobed form with etched with frosted script monogram to lid and capacity mark near rim (7 in.); the sixth a pewter footed form featuring the New Town Hall in Munich flanked by Rococo revival designs, unmarked ( 9 in.).
