GERMAN SINGING BIRD AUTOMATON IN CAGE 12 ¼" x 6 ½" Mechanical singing bird with natural plumage atop a perch with leafy vines perched in the center of a gilt metal cage stamped German on the underside, small feet underneath; a small lever under the edge of the base to turn on and off, winding key. It has a beautiful chirp; turns from side to side and wiggles its tail feathers.

Great head movement and sound. Cage is mounted to base with a beaded border. Raised on four feet. Underside of base marked with maker's stamped mark K G with a bird over three mountain peaks, Made in Germany. Approx. 10.75'' h x 6.75'' l x 5.5'' w.
CONDITION: Scattered loss of finish to base, wear consistent with age and use. Currently working, but not guaranteed to keep working.
