Scattered surface wear and losses, especially to proper right lower side, some patches at hinges, pediment and feet probably restored.

Extensive sun fading, feet original but lacking lower half, other normal cracks, molding losses and repairs and wear. Chippendale mahogany wing chair late 18th/early 19th century The shaped crest over curved wings and out-scrolled arms on square tapering legs joined by stretchers. legs scuffed, scratched, chipped and short splits at base of rear legs, underside of feet show evident of casters, refinished, the chair has not been stripped of upholstery, but shows evidence of many upholstery changes, numerous tack holes at top of exposed legs, rear seat rail has a dense varnish, very sound structurally.

H: 31 1/4 in. W: 33 1/2 in. D: 19 3/4 in. PROVENANCE: NOTE: The top drawer has interior 'slide' slots; appears to have early brass bails. Good older finish, overall good condition, some wear to the bottom edge of the front apron.
