Chippendale mahogany tea table possibly New England last quarter 18th century circular top with tilting platform on turned vasiform standard emitting cabriole legs terminating in slipper feet. H28 1/4'' Dia.36'' Provenance: Descented in the Manley and Robbins family of Massachusetts and Pennsylvania to present heir. These families are direct descendants of William Bradford of the Mayflower and later governor of Plymouth County. refinished; scattered scratches to top surface; butterfly repairs to strengthen joint between two boards of top; repaired pedestal breakout at one leg; other minor imperfections consistent with age.
