CLOCK: MARBLE AND BRONZE NAPOLEON MANTLE CLOCK, C.1860, OFTEN TITLED "VEILLE DE WAGRAM (EVE OF WAGRAM)" IT DEPICTS A SLEEPING NAPOLEON WITH HIS BOOT RESTING ON GLOBE-FORM CLOCK WITH EAGLE CLUTCHING TWO ARROWS MOUNTED ...CLOCK: Marble and bronze Napoleon mantle clock, c.1860, often titled "Veille de Wagram (Eve of Wagram)" it depicts a sleeping Napoleon with his boot resting on globe-form clock with eagle clutching two arrows mounted on top, Roman hour numerals on the front, small round brass spring driven time with one day movement and cylinder escapement, no signature viewed, mounted on black, white and green variegated marble desk set with two gilded metal inkwells and ornately molded base and ball feet, wear consistent with age and use including minor chips to marble along edges and corners, rubbing of finish, inkwells missing glass cups, unguaranteed and untested working condition of clock, etc., size of bronze: 7 1/2" h. x 8 3/4" w. x 3 1/4" d., overall size: 12" h. x 13" w. x 6 3/4" d. [NOTE: The battle of Wagram (near Vienna) took place in July 1809 and was a gruesome battle and Napoleon's last great military victory.]

PR FRENCH CANDELABRAA pair of late 19th century French Bronze candelabra. Each has two candle arms centered by an eagle finial, on a shaped Giallo di Siena style marble base with four feet. Patina has turned green in spots, especially the candle cups; one candelabrum is lacking a bobeche, has several small chips to the marble, and also has a replacement wood foot. 9 3/4" high overall.
