SAMUEL A. MARX (1885 - 1964) 30" x 40" "Floral Arrangement", ca. 1940's. Guache on paper, unsigned, in a fish scale design frame with gold leaf finish from H. Heydenryk of New York, overall 42" x 52 ½". The painting is accompanied with a signed letter from the secretary to the late architect Samuel A. Marx, Mary T. Guebsch, stating the artist gave her this painting in 1945, which she gifted to Dr. & Mrs. Charles M. Sayre. It was painted in the artist's Genco, IL garden.
