De la Cueva Santa / Especial Abogada para una buena / Confesion," mounted and framed under glass (Frame dimensions 19 3/8 x 15 3/8 in.) (minor edge wear to tin, not examined out of the frame); the second is 20th century, oil on tin, inscribed "Maria Lemus / Te doy gracias por haberme hecho el milagro / de savarme a mi hijo de una caida / de este arbol / Doy fe" (I thank you for having performed the miracle of saving my son from a fall from this tree, I attest), mounted and framed under glass (Frame dimensions 19 1/4 x 15 in.) A beautiful tin retablo featuring the Virgin Mary crowned and holding a scepter as she holds her hands together in prayer. She is dressed in lavish clothing with deep blue robes and a red cape with fur trimmings, as well as gold bracelets, a pearl necklace, and dangling earrings. Behind her, Christ is shown crucified on an altar. All is delineated in brilliant pigments with remarkable attention to detail. Size of retablo: 9.5" W x 13.5" H (24.1 cm x 34.3 cm); of frame: 12.75" W x 16.75" H (32.4 cm x 42.5 cm)
