Lined, crackle, cupping, old retouch mostly in dark aareas, some in sky and face, up to 20 percent of surface affected, yellowed varnish; frame with abrasions and losses to gesso.

Hall (American, 1901-1990). Titled An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy Being an Interpretation of the Secret Teachings concealed within the Rituals, Allegories and Mysteries of all Ages. Subscribers' edition (which was the first edition of five printings), numbered 171 of 550, and signed by the author. Some chipping on the title block on the spine, else the book is in very fine condition in original, matching wood slipcase. Slipcase shows some shelf wear. Illustrations within book are stunning.
