Gray patina on frame and barrel with some light pitting traces of blue on the cylinder old finish on the grips marks still fairly clear bore with light pitting action smooth.

The lock is signed "Lane & Reed Boston"; but the barrel is stamped with what appears to be European marks. Stamped as follows" {L.H}- {P in radiant oval} {M} {1833}. Metal appears to be varnished or shellacked at one time. Ram rod is replacement dowel 69. cal. smooth bore.
