Gen. Wheeler in his tent at Montauk Point; on the deck of a ship with Maj. Gen. Wheeler Lawton Shafter and Kiefer; with Cabinet reviewing 7th Army Corps at Savannah; on board ship with ''Savannah Committee;'' soldiers awaiting orders on parade ground for President's Review Camp Alger Virgina and McKinley watching River Parade at New Orleans. Finally 2 of the Sword Presentation to Admiral Dewey on Capitol steps one by J.F. Jarvis (Underwood & Underwood) and other by William H. Rau (Griffith & Griffith). PLUS 3 different ''portraits'' of highly decorated locomotives that pulled President William McKinley's trains on his two Western Tours in 1899 and 1901. Includes the train at an unspecified location October 1899 on his trip ''through the Northwest.'' The other two are of different decorated locomotives in California one leaving the Depot at Oakland and the other ''decorated by ladies of Santa Cruz.'' All on buff curved mounts. The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Overall bright and clear. Camp Alger view has waterstained mount edges. Images are slightly soiled. Balance of images are fine.

This is a cover page to a legal document stamped FILED NOV 3 1873 E. W. PAGE, CLERK, with a signature at bottom which appears to read "Mr. W. McKinley / for Deft". William McKinley (1843-1901), the 25th President of the United States from 1897 until his 1901 assassination, was a lawyer in Canton, Ohio in the 1870s, where E. W. Page was indeed a court clerk, according to period newspaper advertisements.
