Good condition overall with old refinishing, minor veneer patches and repairs, scattered chips, one lower door slightly sprung, normal wear and abrasions.

IMPORTANT STEPHEN HUNECK BUSINESSMAN SECRETARY. Stephen Huneck (American, 1948-2010) 'Businessman' secretary, from Huneck's 'Cooperate Structure' series. Wonderfully carved and painted full bodied ‘businessmen' figures applied in recessed niches to an arch topped secretary in three parts. A removable gilt decorated fan carved crest rests over the upper cabinet section of two doors set with 40 figures, and fixed interior shelves. The base section has a faux marble paint decorated waist and fold out lid/writing surface desk, over four full-length drawers, mounted and flanked by more figures, on faux marble painted turned feet. Signed on base, with signed and carved signatures on upper section. S. Huneck 1990, 88.5”H x 44”W x 20.5”D.
