J. J. Elliott / Harris & Harrington of London were clockmakers and case makers of fine clocks at the turn of the century. The firm had important American clients, and it is likely that this clock was assembled in Britain and sold to the US after 1890. The "Made in France" stamp refers to the painted enamel dial rather than the clock and its works, and was a marketing pitch to cater to the American desire for French products. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY
