MING DYNASTY PORCELAIN VASE Circa 1600 Zhangzhou Swatow Vase decorated with iron red and cobalt blue writhing dragons on two sides, set in fields of flame and symbols of fortune, the form having a broad neck with slightly flared rim, single intermediate rib, high squared shoulder, slightly concave base resting on unglazed inset ring foot, unmarked underside (other than collector's mark), 17 1/2" x 8" diam. Repairs.

PORTRAITS OF KING WEN AND KING WU OF ZHOU Qing dynasty (1644-1912), ink and colors on silk, both with inscriptions in the upper right corner identifying the subject, the two kings depicted lived during the 11th century BCE, Wen is accredited with founding the Zhou dynasty in China and his son Wen being the first king of that dynasty after defeating the Shang, the portraits are framed identically, not examined outside of the frame.
