GROUP 5 CHINESE B & W TABLE OBJECTS,MING DYNASTY A group of five Chinese blue and white table objects. Ming Dynasty, Included are a Ding shaped censer, circular ink well with three curving legs, waterpot. brush holder, and covered small container. Waterpot has a frog on top and a curving snake on the edges, with flat base. Curved mountain shaped brush holder has scholar in nature on inside and three running horses on outside. Ding shaped censer has four long cylindrical legs and two curved handles. Scrolling flower design on each leg. Four sided container has rounded top and a squared inner form for storage. The ink holder has a well beyond the central circular form with a hole for drainage. It's signed with a six character stamp.

A CHINESE GLAZED POTTERY CUPBOARD MODEL FOR TOMB Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD), a model storage cupboard stocked with items the deceased would need in the afterlife, nine beautifully sculpted and glazed miniature objects. Seven are foodstuffs on platters: a magnificent pig's head, stacks of melons, rolls, and roof-tile-like pastries. The largest object is a sturdy table, which can hold all of these platters, giving an impression of culinary abundance. The ninth item is a large chest with carefully depicted latch and handles.
Comes together with Thermoluminescence test results dated 6/13/97 from Daybreak laboratory in Guilford, CT.
