WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION W.S. .32 caliber 26'' octagonal barrel varnished walnut stock adjustable buckhorn-style rear sight. S/n 152621. Clean bore good rifling strong action. Retains 95% bluing. The only loss is on the left side of frame under the adjustable Lyman lifter bar. A few dings in the wood otherwise excellant condition. Circa 1899.

Condition: Barrel and action retains 90% of the original blue finish. Breechblock with traces of case color mostly turning brown. Walnut stock has had a coat of Tru-oil applied. Still retains a good cartouche; the stock has a cut out where the receiver sight was added. Bore is excellent.

The receiver has the name ''Reco'' engraved on the right side and a game scene on the left side featuring a bear and a deer. The engraving is very amateurish and there is no finish on the receiver. The barrel is made from a Rock Island Arsenal military model 1903 barrel dated 9-18. This gun should be checked by a competent gunsmith before attempting to shoot it. the wood is sanded and refinished with poor repairs.

Condition:
Metal has brown patina. Bore is dark. Stock has numerous storage dings. Wrist has standard screws and 2 3/4" crack to wood, left side. Upper tang missing screw for tang sight option. Patches of moderate pitting on lever, receiver, and butt plate. Patches of light pitting on other areas. Numerous dings on barrel. Action is good. Half magazine OK.
