LEONARD" in front of the cock, breech is marked "P M/PC 1814/MS", the barrel is marked "7062" on the top in the gap of the front band, with a button-type ramrod.

L.; flintlock stamped with "JENKS ' S / RI / 1813," "US," and an eagle bearing "US;" (Jenks & Son was a contractor in North Providence, RI); walnut full stock with iron butt plate, trigger guard, and three spring-catch barrel bands; iron ramrod; 56 1/4 in. L. overall.

  Model 1808 Contract Jenks Flintlock Musket .69 caliber 44.625'' round barrel marked on top of barrel in an oval at breech P TW. Lockplate marked Jenks RI 1812 at the rear of plate; under the pan is an eagle with US in the talons. Flat-style lockplate with rounded pan flat hammer. Walnut stock with three barrel bands. Condition: All metal has been lightly cleaned to bright with some light staining and pitting. There is some pitting around the touch hole. Stock is excellent. Very sharp and crisp musket.
