Revolver appears to be refinished at some point in time. Grips have gaps around edges. Cylinder has lateral movement on ejector rod ylinder. Cylinder can spin clockwise while in lockup. RARE REMINGTON MODEL 1890 SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. .44 CFW six-shot cylinder 5 1/2'' round barrel blued finish hard rubber grips. S/n 1041. Appears to retain 50% or more of its original bluing with gray patina in the loss areas a few minor spots of pitting (on the frame flat and on the cylinder) a few minor scratches (top of frame) grips with minor wear and two glued chips on the underside marks are crisp action is smooth. Numbers 77 and 1041 on the left side of the butt under the grip.

*US WWI Colt Model 1909 Revolver .45 lc cal. 5.5'' barrel S/N 43954. Blue finish walnut grips RAC inspector's marks on frame and bottom of left grip panel. Condition: Very good condition with an excellent bore. It retains ca 75-80% original blue finish with most loss on the bottom of the barrel where it appears to have been cleaned and has turned brown. There is also some scattered light rust.

The grips are very good having been lightly sanded. The holster is good.

Much of the blueing and silver plating remains. The bore has good rifling. Very minor rust in the bore and cylinders. Excellent mechanics. An old price tag for this revolver indicates that it was carried by William Thorn of Mississippi however there are no markings on the gun itself to support this and civilwardata.com does not list a William Thorn from Mississippi.
