  RANGER MODEL 30 SHOTGUN, 12 GAUGE Later to be known as the Stevens Model 520 following World War II, this John Browning design was originally manufactured for the Sears Catalogue under the name Ranger Model 30. This particular example is still in good working order although it certainly has seen plenty of use. The blued finish is about 75-80% there with heavy finish wear on the magazine tube. The furniture is walnut with a ""corn-cob"" style pump handle and a standard rifle stock with custom hand-checkering in the form of a bird on the grip. The take down mechanism still functions properly and maintains a tight fit when assembled. The shotgun is fitted with the very early "suicide safety" and can also slam fire. And the forearm which slops differently to the barrel than a fourth model. The same breechblock as a second model. Condition: All metal has been lightly cleaned and has some brown staining mixed with pitting. Buttstock with some nicks and dings and has been re-finished.
