Two Carved Ivory Figures with Animals Two figures of a man with a performing monkey and a man fishing with a Cormorant bird and a basket. The man performing with the monkey on his shoulders is very finely carved and pigment has been added to enhance the carving. The figure is 7-1/4" in height. The Cormorant fisherman is also finely carved and brown pigment has been added to this figure to enhance the carving. The fisherman is 5" in height.

10pc Chinese Jade Animal Carvings 1.25'' to 2.25''. Various monkeys, birds, fish, and foo lion figures. Overall excellent condition. 19th century, Qing dynasty. This is part of a large grouping of pebble jade carvings found stored away in their shipping crates in Seattle. All were purchased in 1976 at the Hong Kong Art Craft Merchants Association and come with a copy of their original Certificate of Antiquity with the exact carvings pictured. Due to the quantity of Jades in this collection, we will not be providing further requested photos. Please rely on the images provided in the catalog.
