When shot at by a pistol, small roses spring from the body of the bush, and at the top, a larger silk rose appears which a spectator has previously signed. Approx. 6 x 14Ó. Lacking one leaf. Repainted.

The Rose Jar, by Thomas S. Jones, Jr. (Thomas Bird Mosher, Portland, Maine, 1924). Beautifully bound in full leather with raised bands on the spine. Bibliographic notes on the FFEP state that this was one of a limited edition of 750 copies and was hand-bound by Helen A. Wilson, according to her turtle mark on the inside back cover.
