NORTHWEST COAST VIC YEADA CARVED
NORTHWEST COAST VIC YEADA CARVED TOTEM MOTHERFeatured in this lot is this mother and daughter hand carved sculpture from Northwest Coast artist Vic Yeada out of Alaska. The carving is wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden construction that shows a hand carved structure with a wrapping of trade cloth decoration with buttons lining the trade cloth cape and shows hand painted design to the carved decoration. The sculpture shows a woman with her daughter in her arms both are covered and the structure is mounted on a wooden base and is signed on the back of the sculpture. Vic Yeada is a Northwest Coast Native carver from Alaska that has many listings of totems and other effigy carved items. The condition of this hand carved mounted carving shows well preserved stature with no obvious signs of damage and shows good lining to the carving decoration and to the painted segments of the carving. The measurements of this carving is 19 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 7 1/4". The collective weight of this carving is 2lb.
