Noel Turner, American Silver Flatware 1837-1910, p. 95), comprising ten (10) dessert or place spoons (6 7/8"L) and 9 forks (6 3/4"L), together with twelve (12) mother of pearl handled knives (6 butter, 6 fruit) with repousse ferrules. Butter knife ferrules are marked sterling; fruit knife ferrules are unmarked and may be silverplate. The butter knife blades are marked Wm. A. Rogers Warranted and the smaller knife blades are marked for the American Cutlery Company. All circa 1880. Weighable sterling: 22.76 oz troy.
