The mercantile jar features a wonderfully and professionally crafted glass construction that shows Mr. Peanut painted to the side and reads 'Planters' on three different sides. The condition of this glass jar shows no obvious signs of damage to the glass and the cork gasket shows a break in it. The measurements of this glass jar is 9 1/4" x 7 3/4" x 7 3/4".

First Lady Rosalynn Carter hired Mesnier, who served 26 years under five presidents: Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. According to Creating the Sweet World of White House Desserts: A Pastry Chef's Secrets, Mesnier created stunning desserts for more than 40 queens, kings, princes, princesses and heads of state.
