Looks like an old stain in front (dark line). Inlay on front is partly faded (could be a replacement) and some is missing. Top board (lid) is cracked across entire length on inside but crack only shows 3'' on top of lid from right edge towards the center. Plays all 10 songs.

Wood framed glass hinged door protecting the works one cylinder appears to have all the metal fittings inside including a shield shape plate reading "Jacot's Patented Safety Check Sept. 22 1886".
