Group of Two Porcelain Scent Bottles and a Sweetmeat Box, consisting of an attractive sterling silver-capped Paris porcelain scent bottle of moon form and periwinkle blue ground, the obverse bearing a well-painted spray of spring flowers and the reverse a gilded neoclassical medallion; a similar Paris porcelain scent bottle of rose du Barry ground with a hinged sterling flip cap and a tiny cut glass interior secondary stopper, with a Chinese mandarin playing with a parrot on the obverse and a spray of spring flowers on the reverse, both third quarter 19th century, h. 2-1/2" and 4"; and a fine, rare and large South Staffordshire brass-mounted enamel sweetmeat box, fourth quarter 18th century, of modified heart form in the French taste, the rose, gold and white-striped ground centered on the lid with a Maypole reserve, the sides with foliate scroll-enframed landscape vignettes, the interior ornamented with two large bouquets and three equidistant diminutive floral sprays, the base marked in gilt script "N".
