A Cloisonne & Musen Vase with Mark of Gonda Hirosuke Meiji Period Circa 1900. Slender vase with small neck restored and a good study piece for a beginning collector or student of cloisonne. Blue /grey ground with musen technique depicting Mt Fuji in the distance silver wire work for sailing ships rocks and distant landscape. Marked on the bottom in copper alloy mounts with liner. Namikawa Yasuyuki (1845-1927). A fine silver wire cloisonne enamel vase c.1900 with silver mounted top and bottom rims decorated with birds perched in a magnolia tree amid other flowers and birds in flight amid shrubs and flowers the shoulder with chrysanthemum leaf scroll and diaper border signed to a square silver seal 'Kyoto Namikawa' 5.75in. - a.f. Estimate ?1 000-1 500 There are several small dents to the silver top rim on the top and round the side and there are several small tiny dents around the bottom of the foot rim starting with the main decoration of pheasants amid magnolia turning the vase in a clock wise direction between the further right magnolia branch and the birds in flight is a 32mm x 11mm bruise which has a 11mm x 7mm splinter and some associated splintering around the crack to it turning further in a clockwise direction between the birds in flight are some fine cracks which form an 'F' shape the curved upper crack is slightly raised and measures about 25mm x 20mm across turning further clockwise above the next decoration of flowering shrubs and birds in flight is some bruising to the shoulder which shows through more blue than black in areas the extent is about 14mm across x 14mm high the silver seal plaque beneath it has a screw in thread and where it has been turned and re-screwed back in it has worn a slight circle on the base of the silver foot.
