Interesting Eight-Piece Collection of Japanese Meiji Carved Ivory, first quarter 20th century, including a netsuke of a bearded man accompanied by a Foo pup; a standing figure of a bald Immortal with a rat; a cabinet figure of a crouched boy; a cabinet group of a young boy asleep on a log; a diminutive figure of a standing smiling Hotei, his hands over his head; an ivory snuff bottle with a calligraphy stanza on the reverse; a carved ivory "100 Faces" snuff bottle; and an ivory necklace with an ivory netsuke of a Samurai as a pendant, all of the pieces but the Hotei signed in incised calligraphy, the Hotei presented on an oblong teak stand, h. 2" to 6".
