The staff overall has a mellow reddish brown patina indicating that it was probably created by the Ovimbundu people. Imperfections. 23 1/2''h. 2 1/2''w. Collected by Reverend William E. Ray and his wife while they were missionaries in Portuguese West Africa now Angola 1881-1907. Condition: overall very good. Some slight rubbing to edges of finial and wear consistent with use to end of handle. Condition reports are available on all items.
