FRANK FOWLER FOREST LANDSCAPE PAINTING New York, Connecticut, France, Italy,1852-1910Depicts a dirt path leading into a forested area darkened by the shade of foliage. Fowler studied under Edwin White in Italy, under Carolus-Duran in France, and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Fowler was a regular exhibitor at the National Academy of Design,exhibited in Chicago at the Columbian Exposition, and painted ceiling panels for the Waldorf Hotel.
