CONNECTICUT ARMS CO. POCKET REVOLVER. Front loading pocket revolver .28 caliber 3'' ribbed octagonal barrel silver plated brass frame and walnut grips. Sn. 4061. Very scarce late variant with large knob tip on ejecter and two line patent date 1864 1866 on cylinder. Strong action clean bore good rifling. 90% blue on barrel 20% on cylinder 15% plating left on frame. Name on barrel quite clear patent dates on cylinder are clear though harder to read because of mottled finish. Very nice gun.

CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", marked on the left side of the slide "GOVERNMENT/MODEL/COLT/AUTOMATIC/CALIBER .45" with a rampant horse, top of the barrel marked "COLT .45 AUTO", magazine marked on the bottom "COLT/.45 AUTO", in the original pasteboard box with a cleaning rod. FFL/C & R. Note: On May 3, 1951, the State of Connecticut Military Division was delivered 300 Government Model pistols purchased for the use of the Connecticut State Guard. They were purportedly never issued or used and sold off. These two pistols are consecutively numbered, are new in the box, and still covered with protective grease, wax paper, and the original pasteboard boxes.
