CONNECTICUT FAMILY RECORD NEEDLEWORK. Philura Williams Holbrook West Haven New Haven County 1873 wool on paper. Grapevine border circles the family history above the green shuttered house. In a frame 21''h. 26 1/4''w. Philura listed her parents and twelve siblings dates thirteen years after she married Burton Holbrook in 1860 but surprisingly did not record her husband or two young sons. The West Haven 1870 census lists Burton as a well-to-do brick mason and includes her parents living with them. Old veneered frame with loss on corners. A few lost stitches and splits in the punch cardstock.

1650 CONNECTICUT LAND DEED, PURITANSVery rare, early Colonial American document, a dated 1650 land deed. Buyer is Nehemiah Olmsted (aka Olmstead) of Fairfield, who came to the continent as part of the Puritan Migration, which began with the Pilgrims' arrival in 1620. Document measures about 11" x 8". This document is one of several dozen important signed pieces in today's sale that were part of a large collection of American historical documents from 1650 through WWII. The estate collection, assembled from about 1920-1960, hasnever been offered for sale at auction. Some text fading, as shown, as well as creases and some chipping. See images. CONNECTICUT ARMS CO. POCKET REVOLVER. Front loading pocket revolver .28 caliber 3'' ribbed octagonal barrel silver plated brass frame and walnut grips. Sn. 4061. Very scarce late variant with large knob tip on ejecter and two line patent date 1864 1866 on cylinder. Strong action clean bore good rifling. 90% blue on barrel 20% on cylinder 15% plating left on frame. Name on barrel quite clear patent dates on cylinder are clear though harder to read because of mottled finish. Very nice gun.
