Model 1868 Springfield Nickel-Plated Rifle .50-70 cal. 32.5" barrel S/N 13786. Full nickel; this one does not have the company markings of the plating company and could possibly be arsenal work.? Walnut stock and leather sling?with nickel-plated bayonet. Condition: Still retains most of the nickel finish with some peeling on the top of breechblock.?Nickel has dulled and has some brown spots popping through.?Stock has some nicks and dings still has remains of the cartouche and the block "L" behind the triggerguard.

Model 1868 Springfield Rifle Nickel
Model 1868 Springfield Rifle Nickel Plated .50-70 caliber 32.5'' round barrel S/N 10137. Rifle is fully nickel plated. Walnut stock. These were made on a trial basis at Springfield Arsenal by the United Nickel Company Beardslee Mfg & Nickel Company. Condition: Nickel has dulled and has areas of peeling around the receiver breechblock bands and front of barrel. With some freckling. Stock with some nicks and dings still retains three cartouches on the left flat opposite of the lock. Bore has some light pitting but would clean out to better.

PINFIRE POCKET REVOLVER. Belgium marked ''ELG'' on the cylinder mid 19th century. About .30 caliber 2 7/8'' octagonal barrel nickel-plated finish and walnut grips. S/n 7562. Accompanied by a ninth-plate tintype of a Civil War soldier in an oval union case. Action on the revolver does work well. We do not know the identity of the soldier or his connection to the gun. However these items came from the estate together and we presume there is a connection.

It is in a superb holster and belt that is studded with more than 10 ounces of antique silver coins, mostly old silver Mexican coins with dates in the 1870's, '80's and '90's. Having a Mexican style double loop holster and cartridge belt with silver coins on it, some from the 1700's. Serial number: 14312. Size: revolver is 14 inches long overall.
