Collection of Ten Japanese Meiji Carved and Oxidized Ivory Netsukes, fourth quarter 19th/first quarter 20th century, comprised of a Noh actor with a revolving face bead, kneeling washer man (the tunic tinted red), man carrying a knapsack and a fan, young boy bearing a lotus blossom, an elderly man robed and bearing a bamboo staff, a recumbent hoofed chimera, a smiling robed man carrying a staff and a filled sack, a robed male bearing a peach and a staff, a monkey seated on a tortoise's shell, and an armadillo ridden by a rat, all but the young boy signed on the base in calligraphy, h. 2-1/4".
