Retains its original faux mahogany graining and green paint. 23 1/2''h. 50 1/2''w. 23''d. This chest is a good example of the tenacity with which the Midwestern Germans clung to earlier styles. The paneling of the chest is nearly Victorian in style and was common long after faux mahogany graining had become passé in non-Germanic communities.
