OHARA KOSON (SHOSON) (JAPAN, 1877-1945) UNFRAMED Three Carp with Water Lilies, oban, signed Shoson with two seals and collector's seal, publisher seal in margin for Watanabe Shozaburo. Unframed, loose, 13 1/4" x 18 3/4". Minor edge soiling. Koson, using the artist name "Shoson", began working with Watanabe in 1927, designing prints depicting birds and flowers. Watanabe took many of the works to the Toledo Exhibition in 1930 and again in 1936.
