  *Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 Double-Action Revolver .357 caliber 3.5'' barrel S/N N609283. Blue finish TT TH aftermarket walnut finger-groove grips. Original mahogany display case with all tools. Condition: Excellent condition with an excellent bore. This gun has seen very little use and is in near-new condition with only a light drag mark on the cylinder. The display case is excellent with an excellent interior. This is a desirable configuration with a scarce barrel length.

  SMITH & WESSON MODEL 28-2 .357 HIGHWAY PATROLMAN 1.5" thick x 5.5"wide x 9.5" long A classic 4" barrel .357 revolver which is a dress down Model 27, features forged frame and pinned barrel. The edges of the frame are bead blasted instead of bright blue. Rear sight lacking white outline. Weight is 44.5 ounces (avoirdupois). This was done to tame hot commercial loads like supervel, popular in the 1970's. Published data places the year of manufacture at 1978.

According to Flayderman the serial number of this revolver (below 35731) puts its manufacture date before May of 1865. Retains 75% original blue most loss is around the trigger and on the cylinder markings still clear action smooth bore with slight oxidation.
