IMPROVISED MACHETE Three edged weapons comprising, a Martindale (Birmingham England), sword handle machete, having a wooden grip and a steel half circle guard bound to the blade with brass wire, the blade having a single fuller, appropriately marked; an improvised sawback machete made from a thick steel foraging tool with a sharp edge on one side and a sawback, terminating to a repurposed wooden pistol grip with checkering, apparently unmarked; and a large, likely German, hunting knife having a stag handle with a brass finial and collar leading to a drop point blade having scrolling foliate and figural etched decoration, apparently unmarked, with a leather and brass sheath. Approximate measurements: first, blade l. 25" overall l. 30"; second, blade l. 17", overall l. 28. 5"; third,blade l. 13", overall l. 20. 5", in scabbard l. 21. 25".

She served as a missionary to Mozambique from 1930-1973, including furloughs under the Women's Foreign Missionary Society. During vacations she taught classes to girls in the villages and did some traveling to many places in Africa, including Rhodesia, Congo, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Egypt.
