The trap features a professionally crafted steel construction that shows six staggered teeth adorning the trap and reads as follows on the tongue: Duke Trap - #15 Bear - D. The condition of this bear trap is good with a slight patina adorning the tongue and springs but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this trap are 8 1/4" x 14 1/4" x 18".

PICTORIAL TRAPUNTO WORK IN EARLY SHADOWBOX FRAME Oval Scene of Seven Figures at Court, with deep relief trapunto, utilizing a range of textiles, looped silk ribbon providing a border with the rectangular peplum having lion and leopard at bottom, eagle and phoenix clutching branches above, (note beetles and butterflies), the four corners filled with large rose and lily blossoms, housed in a hand carved black and gold frame, under old rippled glass, OS: 17 1/2" x 22 3/4", SS: 15" x 20 1/4". Some fading but in remarkably intact condition.
