Three-Piece American Silverplate Tea Set, in the "Ascot" pattern, introduced ca. 1930 by Oneida Silversmiths, Sherrill, New York, comprising a teapot, sugar bowl and creamer, each of flattened oval form with a waisted neck, raised on four cast and applied acanthus feet, with cast acanthus-scroll border and decorated with flat chasing en suite, the insulated teapot with hinged lid with acanthus-bud finial and "gooseneck" spout with embossed floral mount, the sugar bowl with two, the creamer and teapot with one "C"-scroll handle with embossed poppies, the creamer with integral spout, teapot h. 9".
