There is no evidence of previous restoration and the canvas and strainer appear to be original. There are spots of localized staining along the lower edge of the painting, which is likely caused by the deterioration of metal nails in the strainer, and the lower yellow region of the painting has some minor dirt and scuffs in (see lr corner). Additionally there is minor deformation to the canvas at the extreme ll corner caused imperfections in the hand made strainer.
