OVINGTON BROS. GOLD ENCRUSTED PLATES & BOWL, 12PC Ovington Brothers (American, 1843 -), circa 1920. Set of eleven gold encrusted porcelain service plates or chargers, having a lip with scrolled foliate detail and fruiting urns, together with a gold encrusted footed glass mayonnaise bowl in the manner of Cambridge Glass. The plates marked "Ovington" and "New York" to the underside; the bowl unmarked. Catalog Note: This set decorated the dining room at the Windcrofte House on Tuxedo Road. Approx. of one, dia. 10.75" (plate); h. 4", dia. 8.5" (bowl).
