A multimedia collaboration containing original poetry by author and activist Maya Angelou (American, 1928-2014), six original full-color etchings by watercolorist and printmaker Dean Mitchell (American, b. 1957), and a CD of original compositions by jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis (American, b. 1961). Hand-signed by each of the three on the colophon page. The folio is housed in the publisher's felt-lined cloth case.
The passionate volume is further elevated by a one-of-a-kind fold-out display shelf, custom designed and crafted by Tim Ward (Ward & Ward Framing, Kansas City). The shelf's fall-front is decorated in low relief with musical notes, and hangs with a French cleat. Measures 22 1/2" x 25" x 4 1/2".
Condition
The book is in excellent condition. The cloth case has impressions to the felt lining from contact with the CD case. The custom shelf is in very good condition.
