C. 1740-50 pine corner cupboard pictured and described in Wallace Nuttings Furniture Treasury picture 527 caption states '' Pine 1740-50. 92'' x 53'' x 15''. William B. Goodwin. The carved tree of life capitals and the twin flowers on stem are extraordinary features. The interior is a frame with hickory laths plastered and originally painted a deep blue. The over-board is a restoration Unique so far as known''. Found in New Jersey estate. Originally was exhibited at the Shelburne Museum in Vt. aquired from private estate in New Paltz. Provenance McCutcheon collection New Jersey.
