Swirling repousse case inset with 5 diamonds and one central ruby. The pin from which the watch hangs is also inset with a diamond. Works are marked Smith Patterson Co Boston. 19.9 total dwt. Watch is not currently working, but otherwise very good condition. 2" long, including pin, just over 1" diameter. Comes in original purple velvet box that shows wear.

AN ALLEGORICAL PATINATED SPELTER CLOCK, "AURORA," FRENC...AN ALLEGORICAL PATINATED SPELTER CLOCK, "Aurora," FRENCH, MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, the female figure with star diadem and long waving curled hair casts and intense gaze into the horizon, one hand upon her forehead shielding the coming sunlight, in her opposing hand she grips a hammer, ready to strike the two-tier bells on which she leans, her billowing buttoned dress held by a zodiac belt, a swirling cloud orb centers the blue and white enameled shield form porcelain plaque Roman numeral hour marks centering a foliate wreath, raised on a cavetto noir Belge black marble with Violette de Espagne trim, the clockworks marked with numbers 3042 and 8-7, the pendulum suspension marked, "Pannard V." Height: 23" Width: 16" Depth: 11" Provenance: Lifelong Collection of Clocks and Antiques, Navasota, Texas.
