  TAYLOR'S PORCELAIN SHAVING SOAP JARTaylor's Saponaceous Compound porcelain advertising jar. Manufactured by the H. P. and C. R. Taylor Company (established 1820) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The advertisement shows a man looking in a mirror at his clean shaven face; and, it reads, "This celebrated Shaving Soap has been in use more than Thirty Years and meets with increased Favour". The jar measures 3.5/8" in diameter x 1 7/8" tall. There are a few small chips to the lid rim & where the lid fits onto the body.
